BalletNext is a boundary-crossing platform, creating dynamic international performance collaborations between artists, students, and institutions.
In 2011, Michele Wiles—former principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and one of New York’s most acclaimed dancers—founded the company with the vision to provide a collaborative performance platform. The result is the creation of new work showcasing forward-focused choreography, world class performers, and always live music.
Our history is also one of blending promising young talent with some of the world’s most respected dancers. We provide a bridge for emerging talent to take their work to the next level alongside top professionals, masters, and musicians. By engaging with the next generation in this way and providing opportunities for them to develop and excel alongside experienced professionals, we seek to make a valuable contribution to the dance development ecosystem.

Past collaborators include Mauro Bigonzetti, Jay Donn, Tom Harrell , Jesus Pastor, Peter Quanz, Brian Reeder, Anneke Schaul-Yoder, the Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA (New York), and the University of Utah School of Dance .
BalletNext originated in New York, and now creates and performs in the stunning mountain landscape of Park City, Utah.
